Leadership team

Pastor Tyler Gillit was called to be Worth’s Senior Pastor in January of 2016 after he served on staff for eight years. During that time, he served as the Youth Pastor and Associate Pastor, founded the WBC chapter of Reformers Unanimous, and developed our short-term missions program.

Pastor Gillit graduated with a Bachelor of Biblical Studies Degree from The Crown College in 2006 and a Master of Ministries Degree from Crown Seminary in 2007. He and Tori were married in 2006 and they have two children, Will and Anna. He is passionate about expository preaching and making disciples in Fort Worth and around the world.

Pastor Earl Sides joined the Worth Baptist Church staff in March of 2016 and serves as the Director of Discipleship and the leader of Bridge to Recovery. He and his wife Niki have three sons, Cody, Colin, and Christian.

Before coming to Worth, he served as Youth Pastor, Associate Pastor, and Music Minister of Calvary Baptist Church in Cleburne, Texas under the leadership of Pastor Charles Payne. Bro. Sides has over thirty years of experience as a youth pastor in churches in Ohio and Texas.

Bro. Cory McGuire serves as Music Minister and teaches the Crossroads (Young Adult) Sunday School Class. He is also the Director of Camp Liberty in Oakwood, Texas.

He has grown up at Worth Baptist Church, and he and his wife Heidi have served in full-time ministry since 2009. The McGuires graduated from Pensacola Christian College and have three daughters, Emma, Kate, and Abby.

Bro. Tony Sengmany joined the Worth Baptist Church staff as Youth Pastor in September 2016. He graduated from The Crown College with a Bachelor in Youth Ministry Degree in 2006 and a Master of Ministry Degree in 2007.

Before working at Worth, he served in youth ministry at Temple Baptist Church in Powell, Tennessee for eight years under the leadership of Dr. Clarence Sexton.

Bro. Tony and Rachel were married in June of 2007 and have four children, Jonathan, Esther, Joy, and Naomi.

Dr. Raymond Barber pastored Worth for thirty-five years and has been in the ministry since 1951. He is currently Worth’s Pastor Emeritus.

When Dr. Barber is not at Worth, he preaches throughout the nation at Bible conferences, Bible colleges, church meetings, and conferences such as the annual Independent Baptist Fellowship International meeting.

Dr. Willie W. Weaver pastored Worth for eighteen years, and under his leadership Worth annually supported over 150 missionaries, giving millions of dollars to world evangelism. He married his wife Carolyn in June of 1963 and has two children and seven grandchildren. When he is not out of town preaching in mission conferences and revival meetings, he teaches the Auditorium Sunday School class.
